I was really not familiar with Michael Franti & Spearhead before attending this concert, but let me start off by saying I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their music. Its definitely worth listening to, a mix of Reggae and rap. I liked that they were down to earth type people, involving the audience and going out into the crowd.
Fu Manchu was fabulous! I wanted him to play longer, the only complaint I had. I know that's selfish, but there were soooo many songs I wanted to hear and just not enough time. My favorite song of the night was Waiting on the World to Change, and it was great to hear his version of Aint no Sunshine. I can't praise Fu Manchu enough. I will see him over and over again!!!
This time we were off to the side of the stage, a good vantage point because you get to see the band work. But we spent most of the time seeing Fu Manchu from the side. Next time, definitely better seats!
